Handling of your newly power-assisted bicycle
is surprisingly good. No jackknife tendencies
or serious trailer traction problems have been
experienced in nine years of personal use. For
added stability the trailer wheel slows with the
regenerative charging when you touch the brake
lever. So your stability is assured even down
steep hills.
There is enough power to start an unloaded push-trailer
bouncing by hammering the throttle. But if you
back-off and power-up gradually, the wheel digs-in.
Throttling in a sharp turn will high-side you
somewhat. But you quickly learn to compensate
for this occasional circumstance, and even come
to rely on some help if you are about to fall-in
on a tight-squeeze corner you are maneuvering
at low speed. Then throttling for a little high-side
action takes you right through.
Standard specifications include a range of 50
kilometers and unassisted hill-climbing of a slope
